Rowland has further cemented its position as one of Australia’s leading communication firms – receiving awards at both a national and international level, and being formally recognised as Australia’s largest independent PR agency.
After receiving a Gold Award in the low-cost/pro bono category at the 2013 Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) State Awards for Excellence for its promotion of the 34th International Geological Congress (IGC), Rowland went on to receive a Highly Commended at the 2013 PRIA National Awards in November.
Rowland provided pro bono media and communication support to build the profile of, and attract delegates to, the IGC which was held in Brisbane in August 2012.
The campaign included engagement with key business and political influencers in Queensland to help drive delegate registrations from countries including China, Russia, and Brazil, significant online engagement through Facebook and Twitter, and more than 100 items of media coverage for the event.
Rowland’s work was also recognised at an international level, with Namoi Cotton named the Overall Winner in the Financial Communication category at the Golden Standards Awards, run by Public Affairs Asia, held in Hong Kong in December 2013.
This accolade is in addition to receiving a Commended Award for investor relations work for Namoi Cotton at the Public Relations Institute of Australia’s (PRIA) State Awards for Excellence in 2013.
The size and breadth of Rowland’s offer was reflected in the organisation being ranked Australia’s largest independent PR agency in October 2013 by the PR Report.
