Rowland Managing Director, Helen Besly has been facilitating a committee working towards realising the vision for the Meeanjin Heritage and Remembrance Centre. When developed, the centre will be the only facility of its type in Brisbane and a key contributor to the advancement of Indigenous culture through arts, education, hospitality, and tourism.
Taken from the name used by Indigenous people for the Brisbane area, the Meeanjin Heritage and Remembrance Centre will bring to life all facets of ATSI culture.
The initiative is being led by the Centre for Aboriginal Independence and Enterprise (CAIE) with support from Arts Queensland, Mission Australia, AECOM, Rowland, Brisbane Marketing, and Brisbane City Council.
