We are extremely proud to announce that as part of the 2016 Queen’s Birthday Honours, our Chairman Geoff Rodgers has today been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in the General Division.

Geoff receives this honour as a result of an incredible 30 year track record in business, as well as a significant contribution to charitable and community organisations around Brisbane and Queensland.

Having worked with Geoff for over two decades, and witnessing every day his boundless energy, relentless drive, and a genuine passion for people, I could not be more proud of Geoff for receiving this award. His energy has been instrumental in creating the high-performing culture which has resulted in Rowland becoming one of Australia’s largest independent communication consultancies.

At the same time, his capacity for people is enormous, whether it be advising some of Australia’s largest companies on communication strategy, mentoring junior staff members, raising nearly $50,000 in his sixth year participating in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, or managing his son’s cricket team. He also played a major role in the establishment of the General Douglas MacArthur Brisbane Memorial Trust and chaired the Save City Hall fundraising committee. Geoff throws himself wholeheartedly into his passions and pursuits to the benefit of those around him.

Congratulations Geoff on this well-deserved achievement.
