Giving back to the community has always been an integral part of how Rowland does business, and we are incredibly proud to partner with and support Foodbank Queensland, the largest hunger relief organisation in Queensland.

Foodbank Queensland works to ensure excess food does not go to waste and instead goes to those who need it most.

Food growers, manufacturers, and processors produce quantities of food that, for various commercial reasons, cannot be sold. At the same time, welfare agencies face an ongoing struggle to provide food relief to thousands of people reliant on food handouts and welfare benefits.

Foodbank Queensland is the vital link between these two groups, providing an outlet to food companies to donate their surplus stock, and saving community support agencies valuable time and resources by providing streamlined access to nutritious food supplies.

Last year alone, Foodbank Queensland provided enough food for 15.75 million meals.

Rowland is proud to provide Foodbank Queensland with pro-bono communication services, including writing and designing Foodbank Queensland’s quarterly newsletter (online and print) and developing a 2015 food calendar. Our team also participates in working bees, helping pack food for distribution to charities throughout Queensland.
