Queensland Government US Trade Mission

Rowland Chairman, Geoff Rodgers, participated in Queensland Government Trade Mission to the United States in March, led by the Premier of Queensland, the Hon. Campbell Newman MP.

Representatives from business, industry and some of the State’s leading universities, participated in this trade mission which was co-ordinated by Trade & Investment Queensland represented by Mark Stockwell (Chairman), Geoffrey Thomas (Deputy Chairman), Andrew Tulloch (CEO) and David Camerlengo (Trade & Investment Commissioner, North America).

The week-long tour involved a range of business meetings in Los Angeles, New York and Houston with some of the world’s most prominent corporations including ExxonMobil, ConnocoPhillips, JP Morgan, Harvard Business School, Lockheed Martin, Jacobs Engineering, Cardno and American Australian Association, and briefings on infrastructure, venture capital, trade and investment. The tour culminated in a function for 150 guests in Houston to mark the official opening of the Queensland Government’s new Trade & Investment office in Houston by the Premier and Governor of Texas, the Hon. Rick Perry.
