Rowland has won an award for excellence at the annual Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards in the ‘owned media’ category.
The award recognises the outstanding sustainability report video developed by Rowland for Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI). The video captures human stories associated with the sustainability performance of SMI’s Tampakan Project, in the Philippines.
Rowland Chairman, Geoff Rodgers said the global recognition was a credit to the multi-disciplinary team that worked on the project.
“The video, along with the other work we have undertaken for SMI over the past three years, is a testament to the integrated and collaborative approach embraced by our international projects, stakeholder engagement and multi-media teams,” he said.
“The SABRE Awards attract more entries globally than any other public relations awards competition so we are thrilled to be in this league.”
SMI’s world-class Tampakan Copper-Gold Project is one of the world’s largest undeveloped copper-gold deposits and if approved for development, will establish a foundation for large-scale mining in the Philippines.
The annual SABRE Awards showcase exceptional public relations campaigns conducted in the Asia-Pacific region, drawing 5,000 entries from around the world each year.
