ANNUAL REPORTS 2015-2017
Rowland has designed and produced three consecutive annual reports for Kina – Papua New Guinea’s leading diversified financial services provider – since 2015, when it was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and the Port Moresby Stock Exchange.
Having created Kina’s new brand to coincide with the company’s listing, Rowland ensured that the Annual Report showcased it to maximum effect.
Subsequent reports have coupled Rowland’s unique background in financial communications with a steadfast focus on quality design to maintain the high level of brand equity established at the outset, while using Kina’s robust and instantly recognisable brand elements to build new themes and augment the brand narrative along the way.
Taking inspiration from the interwoven strands of the bilum bag, and from the bold, intertwining patterns of tapa bark cloth, the Kina logo symbol represents the everyday flow and exchange of the Kina currency providing a strong link to the brand name and its origins. It shows the two-way partnership through the intertwined ‘strands’ of bank and customer converging in a shared life purpose of prosperity.
